The Adventures of D’Artagnan

‘The Adventures of D’Artagnan’ is a work for large orchestra recorded at Abbey Road Studios in June 2015.

It is a film music suite based on the life of Charles de Batz-Castelmore D’Artagnan, who was captain of the musketeer guard for Louis XIV. Although a real historical figure, this music depicts more vividly the adventures of the fictionalised account of his life by the author Alexandre Dumas, in his ‘Three Musketeers’ novels. The music is large in scope and luminous in orchestral colour, keeping the rhythms vibrant and energetic, always portraying the valiant hero.

Performed by players of the London Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic.

Composed, Orchestrated, Conducted and Mixed by Dan O’Neill.
